Hello, its been a while...Hello everyone. Its been a while. There has been much going on. I guess Lennon said it best when he sang, "life is
what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Here's an update on what I have been doing for the past
6 months. I've been debating whether or not to continue with the paranormal thing. It has always been a passion, but I am
in need of some serious inspiration to keep this going. I've been wanting to make a new documentary, but have been combating
my self over having to do all of this by my self again. It takes a lot of work and it is hard to find assistance. However,
I have established so much so far, and I don't wish to let anyone down - let alone me. But I am trying to think out of the
box to make this site much more for everyone. I want it to be entertaining - informative - and lucrative. I have some
ideas as to make this site much better and more fresh for everyone, but it will take some time so please bare with me and
I wont let you down. Sincerely, Dan

So Many Witnesses...and Nobody Took a Picture!!Its the same old story over and over again... An eyewitness describes a bizarre event event that occurs for a period
of several minutes, yet did not have the the chance to capture on film what they saw. This was something that had always infuriated
me, and I couldn't understand why no one would have the sense to hurry and get the camera to capture an event that lasts well
over several minutes. Until it happened to me. About a month ago, I was having dinner with my family and there was this
constant low rumble that was annoying me. I asked my wife, "Don't you hear that?" She replied, "Hear what?"
My wife and kids didn't pay much attention to it, since it had been going on for so long they had simply not noticed. But
I had to get to the bottom of this. Going out
to my back deck, I looked up at the dark sky to see three helicopters in a triangle pattern - perhaps a 1/4 mile apart from
each other. I knew they were helicopters because one of them was directly over my house. Now to the average man, this would
seem pretty strange - so you can only imagine how this seemed to a conspiracy nut like me! Many times, I thought to myself to get the video camera with my night vision gear, but I couldn't
move. - LET ME REPHRASE THIS - I didn't WANT to move. I was afraid that if I went in the house, the helicopters would go away,
and within a matter of minutes they did, one by one. Except
for the single chopper over my house. I looked around to the other houses in my neighborhood and saw many faces looking out
their windows, everyone was seeing this. So I asked my son for his night vision goggles. He got them to me and when I looked
up, I could see no other markings than that of a regular helicopter, I can't be sure about the color, but it wasn't black.
A plane started to appear and was heading towards the chopper over my house - this looked bad. I though there would be a collision,
the plane was a bit higher than the chopper. It almost
appeared to me that the helicopter would have stayed a bit longer, but seemed to take action almost immediately after I began
focusing on it with my night vision goggles. It left and made a final pass over my development and went out in a Northwest
direction. After coming into the house, I was aggravated
that I did not film this. It has made me think about creating an emergency camera bag for strange sightings - and to always
keep it in reach, however we all know that no matter how much we prepare for this, strange things happen when we least expect
them. I'll get'em next time!!

Based on a true Story ...or B.S. for short! It seems that more and more films are getting away with
using the disclaimer, "Based on a True Story" or "Inspired by Actual Events". Movie companies have always
found ways to blur the line between the truth and "artistic license", but with films such as PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
and THE FOURTH KIND the line is so blurry that I have to wonder if it's even there at all. Let's
be honest here, the press release and promo trailers for THE FOURTH KIND have been down right misleading! Perception is reality
and the filmmakers were banking on this. Most people are lazy and don't want to do the work it takes to research anything.
So if a celebrity says, "drink this...do this...vote for this person..." most idiots will listen and obey. Celebrities
continue to do this because they are told they have clout, and that people will listen or buy into anything they say - not
to mention $$$$.
So when Milla Jovovich looks into the camera and says, "Everything you see here is supported by actual footage..." who are we not to assume she's being sincere. Or when the film makers go a step further in having the "real"
Dr. Abigail Tyler's face blurred out on screen - portrayed by actress Melora Walters - though she is uncredited in the film.
What is the point? What got people to reach into their pockets and spend a wad of cash to
see this movie? Was it that it looked good? Or was it that it looked incredible and we were told that it was real? This is
beyond guerilla marketing and downright deceptive. Am I the only one
who sees what damage, to the paranormal field, can come from such movies as THE FOURTH KIND and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY?
As I stated earlier, perception is reality. If people are told that such films are based on
actual events, they will believe it. But what happens when they find out that these films were total fiction, and that they
were misled by guerilla marketing? How will they respond to a legitimate documentary on the subject of true paranormal activity?
It will be the skeptics, in the end, who will use such films to defend their beliefs. Have
you ever heard a skeptic say this?..."The victim is simply suffering from realistic-like dreams, created by an overacted
imagination, stirred up by images from television and the movies." An
honest pitchman's motto is, "There's enough great stuff out there to sell, you don't need to sell junk!"
Well, I'm saying, "There are enough real paranormal activities to document; we don't
need to make stuff up!"

WELCOME TO THE NEW SITE!Welcome to the
first blog of the website. Hopefully
this will be the start of a great experience! There are many mysteries out there and together with you and others from the
paranormal world, we hope to seek out and cautiously find the truth. I hope to make this site - as with all my ventures -
fulfilling and entertaining - while still maintaining integrity to the field. I encourage unity
within this community and self discipline (lets be rational folks!) I welcome you thoughts and opinions as we work together
to seek out the truth! Dan Marro
